When establishing al Gelato in the United States in 1978, we began by committing our
company to faithfully following the ancient ice cream traditions observed in Italy. After
acquiring the recipes, special state-of-the-art Italian equipment, and sampling hundreds
of flavors from Italy we were ready to begin production.
The traditional Italians produced only small quantities of ice cream, and we followed
their excellent example. Our chefs blend, stir, sample and perfect each batch
artisan-style so that the flavor and texture convey our uncompromising commitment to
quality every time. Each package of al Gelato is inspected for weight and density.
So the secret to al Gelato excellence is no secret: a complete commitment to quality at
every step. This thorough attention to detail guarantees the distinguishing nuances, taste
